Amigurumi Turtle – Beginner’s Level Pattern

Introducing Turtle Amigurumi free pattern! This charming little turtle holds a special place in my heart, as it was my very first amigurumi creation and a featured project in my Amigurumi 101 workshop. Perfect for beginners and seasoned crocheters alike, this pattern promises a delightful crafting experience. Happy crocheting!

Materials: 

2 colours of cotton Mercerised , DK Weight yarn balls, i have chosen Brown and green, you can choose any two colours of your choice. 

Hook size: 3mm & 1 mm (For eyes but Optional)

Black Embroidery floss for eyes, you can do eyes with embroidery also, or use beads or safety eyes.

Cut yarn leaving an 8 inch tail and Close the front loops to fasten off.

In Row 18, attach yarn and make 60sc in the front loops. 

Head: Green

Stop here, Leave a yarn tail of about 20 Inches for sewing.

Eyes: Use black embroidery floss, with 1 mm hook. You can also use Beads, Safety Eyes or any buttons of your choice.

Leave a long yarn tail and cut the yarn.

Front Legs: (Green) Make 2

Make 1 sc and fold the piece into half and make 20 sc joining the piece together.

Make 1 sc and fold the piece into half and make 14 sc joining the piece together.

Assembly: 

Sew the head to the shell.

Sew the legs, the space between the front legs and hind legs is 8 stitches.

sew the eyes on the head, on the 5th row from magic ring, and use embroidery floss to make a smile.
